The Mission:
We
are small, mighty and flexible
In 1995, Donna
Greer founded her company on one simple premise--that no business is
too small to get great press. The company was then called John Kay,
Incorporated. "We were one of the best kept secrets in Boston PR.
We only took business by referral because most of my clients were being
asked who was getting them their incredible national exposure,"
says Greer. "Then we just took off."
"I really interview prospective clients. One of them said he felt
like he was applying to college again," says Greer. "I need
to make sure a new client is committed to a program that is not just
built on our great short-term results. Our relationship needs to grow
with their business, and we need to make sure the fit is good,"
she adds.
Since many of the
companies we were working for were on the smaller scale, Greer found
she began to wear many creative hats. In 2002, at the urging of her
clients, John Kay Incorporated evolved into JKI Media Strategies, a
full-service marketing and media management agency.
Reasonable
rates and great relationships have kept JKI and its clients going great
guns--even in an economy that is less than perfect. "We are small,
mighty and flexible," says Greer. "Flexibility has been key
in continuing to get the results our clients need."
